HERE IS HOW TO PRESERVE YOUR TREASURES ...
When you contact me ~by telephone or email~, I will ask you about your object(s) and your concerns, and suggest some possibilities. If we agree to continue the conversation, our next step will be an EXAMINATION. In the case of single works you may arrange to deliver the item(s) to the studio or I can arrange to collect the item(s) from you or examine it 'in situ'.
Once the examination is complete, I will present you with a written REPORT AND PROPOSAL describing service/treatment options. This document will include an estimated completion date and cost, along with terms and conditions of the service ~this will remain valid for a period of 4 months~. The report and proposal will be sent to you via email, unless otherwise requested ~a printed copy of it can be sent to you by mail~.
If you agree to the proposal, this will be our contract and I expect you to return to me an email with a consent message ~or the printed copy mailed back and signed by you as the consent~. Upon your acceptance and a deposit ~or check~ of 50% of the final estimate, I will start working on your project.
I may send you interim reports according on the complexity of the project and the length of time estimated for completion. If there are unexpected issues, I will contact you in order to discuss them; in some cases an addendum to the treatment outline may be required.
When WORK IS COMPLETE I will contact you to schedule a date and time for pick up/deliver the item. The balance of your payment is due at that time. A written and a photograpic report of the intervention will be delivered to you as well.
